Saturday Fight Knight – The Afterblow (Offene Halle)

Nach der Fight Knight nicht genug vom Fechten? Verstehen wir. Daher laden wir zum Afterblow ein und bieten euch eine offene Halle mit Workshop-Programm an. Diese findet am 13.10.2024 ab 10 Uhr in der Sporthalle Kastellschule in Oberhausen statt.

Workshop 1: Ties Kool

In this workshop we will go through a set up for a durchwechseln. I’ll go through the movement itself according to Jude Lew, how to train it and how to add it to your sparring repertoire.

Workshop 3: Maarten van der Auwera

BIO
I am Maarten Van der Auwera, instructor of the HEMA club Sumus Soldani in Belgium. I have been doing HEMA for nearly 10 years and focus more on the tournament side and have won several medals. I am also experienced as a judge, referee and live stream commentator. I mainly train longsword, but I also have experience with sabre and sword and buckler.

WORKSHOP
10 ways to start the thrust:
As people are learning to defend the thrust, we need to come up with more creative ways to set up the thrust. In this workshops, we will first cover the basics of a thrust and then we will look at 10 different ways to set it up. For this workshop, you will need at least a mask, throat protector, light gloves and a longsword, but you will get more out of the workshop with full sparring gear.
