Swords of the Renaissance VII 2026

A two-day HEMA workshop event dedicated to the diverse fighting styles and weapons of the Renaissance period. The goal is to provide both a broad overview and a focused space for exchange, experimentation, and learning.

The event combines structured morning workshops with invited instructors and flexible afternoon breakout tracks. These tracks feature short sessions, talks, and demonstrations in smaller groups, allowing participants to explore specific traditions such as Italian rapier, Bolognese sidesword, Destreza, and more.

Participants are free to move between sessions, train, discuss, and fence in an open and collaborative environment. There is no tournament or competitive format.

The event emphasizes accessibility, exchange between practitioners, and a welcoming atmosphere reflecting the diversity of both historical sources and the modern HEMA community.
